Dr Kanij Anne Mostafa

MBBS, Medical Assistant

Information

I completed MBBS in 2012 from Bangladesh Medical College & Hospital, a renowned medical college of Bangladesh. My MBBS degree has been verified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and is recognised by the Medical Board of Australia.

 

I worked as a  Resident Medical Officer at NSW Health on limited registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and I successfully completed my Two Emergency Department Terms, General Medicine term, Relief Term and Geriatric term where I learnt patient initial assessment and management, ward round and proper documentation, preparing discharge paper, appropriate consultation and referral as required, Fluids medication charting, procedural skills eg cannulation, venepuncture,wound suturing/dressing,plaster cast,catheterization and CPR. 

As a Resident Medical Officer, liaising with allied Health and multi-disciplinary teams as a part of work. I continuously get opportunities to learn and review patient management according to the Australian health guidelines.I actively participated in teaching sessions, Grand Rounds and Journal Clubs and also got the opportunity to update my knowledge with current Australian management guidelines.

 

Currently I am preparing myself for my Clinical examination and planning to sit for my clinical examination

 

 In addition, I am regularly participating in different online and face-to-face CPD activities to meet the AHPRA registration criteria. I have a valid First aid training course/BLS/my health learning/Osler CPD.

 

Previously, I have worked in an ICU and General Medicine Department in Bangladesh, as a Resident Medical Officer with more than three years working experience from overseas. Besides that, I have worked as a pathology collector at Douglas & Mann Pty Limited t/as Histopath Diagnostic center. Worked as a clinical observer in the Emergency Department in Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and in general Medicine in Gold Coast University Hospital.

 

I believe it is essential to engage in different CPD activities to maintain and upgrade one's clinical knowledge and skills. I have completed the Australian Resuscitation Council - Advanced Life Support (ALS): Level 1 course where I was privileged to get an opportunity to refresh my skills in managing airways, initial assessment with resuscitation and Basic Life Support.

 

I am an Australian Citizen. I am up to date with the required vaccinations, including the COVID-19 for NSW Health.

 

I am dedicated to delivering person - centred care with empathy, respect and kindness and I am eager to learn from Elite care health team members to further develop my skills. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute positively to the Elite care health team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need of care and support.
